Weekly Update - 22nd December 2023

Good morning friends

 

This weekend is one full of celebrations.

 

I want to urge you to join us for our service on Sunday morning.  Not only is it Christmas Eve, and therefore where else would you be than worshipping with the church, but we will also have with us Mariama, who runs Sisterland in Sierra Leone.  We've supported Sisterland for a number of years and it will be wonderful to hear from her.  Our offering will also go to Sisterland.

 

On Sunday afternoon we have Carols in the Carpark, with a children's nativity play.  Again it promises to be a great event and we hope that many people from our neighbourhood will come.  A good turn out from the church, and some help with making it run smoothly, would be fantastic.

 

And then on Christmas morning we have a service at 11am to celebrate the birth of our saviour: my favourite service of the year.

 

I hope to see as many of you as possible at one or all of these events, but if not (and I understand that we can't all make it!) have a peaceful and joyful Christmas.
